BCaster Founder and CEO Janne Neuvonen presented the company’s investment thesis on stage at a Post Oak investor event in New York.

The presentation focused on a fundamental shift taking place in the global content and data market: generative AI is making credible-looking images and video easier and less expensive to create, while organizations still need reliable information about what actually happened in the real world.

“Generative AI will create more media, not less. That makes source-linked real-world visual data more valuable. BCaster is building the infrastructure layer that allows organizations to collect, understand and use that data while preserving rights, context and the signals needed to assess trust.”Janne Neuvonen, Founder and CEO of BCaster

A missing layer in the enterprise data stack

Organizations already receive large volumes of photos and videos from people, cameras, drones, partners and connected systems. That content often enters through disconnected channels such as email, messaging applications, social media, shared folders and separate technical systems.

The challenge is not simply storing the files. Organizations need to know what the content contains, what rights and consent are attached to it, where and when it originated, what evidence supports its use and how it can be found when needed.

BCaster operates between real-world visual sources and the systems organizations already use. The platform collects visual content and its available context, assesses source and media-derived trust signals, uses AI to extract searchable information and delivers the resulting data into existing enterprise workflows.

A contributor can be known or anonymous. Identity is one trust signal, not a requirement. BCaster keeps supporting, missing and conflicting information visible so organizations can make informed decisions based on the available evidence.

From individual content to an owned visual dataset

The long-term value created by BCaster is not limited to an individual image or video. Each deployment helps the customer build an owned, rights-managed, searchable and AI-ready visual dataset.

That dataset can support multiple workflows across media, communications, sports, live events, public safety, venues and enterprise operations. The same visual data can be searched, reused and delivered into DAM, MAM, CMS, CRM, GIS, command center and case-management environments.

BCaster complements existing AI, storage and operational systems rather than requiring customers to replace them.

Built through real-world deployments

BCaster has developed and deployed its platform since 2017 across a range of real-world environments.

At MTV Uutiset, BCaster reduced the time required to manage audience-submitted weather images by more than 70 percent while making relevant content available for publishing within minutes. At EarthX in Dallas, BCaster deployments expanded from visual documentation into hybrid audience participation and audience intelligence.

These deployments demonstrate how the same underlying infrastructure can address different high-value workflows while preserving a consistent data model for intake, rights, trust, intelligence, search and delivery.

Building the category in North America

The New York presentation forms part of BCaster’s broader North American growth strategy. The company is expanding its engagement with enterprise customers, strategic partners and investors that understand the growing importance of trusted real-world data in an AI-driven economy.

BCaster is available as a SaaS platform, private-cloud deployment or on-premise infrastructure, allowing it to serve both commercial and operational environments with different security requirements.
